Summer Fun

Caleb was very busy the last 2 weeks with volleyball camps, birthdays, going to mud hut, going to the movies. Chris and I love that we can just pack him up and take him with us. You know, they wouldn't let us take Jilly into restaurants. Here's just a few pictures to show what he's done.

He took a shower with daddy, hung out with the volleyballs and mommy, got held by Aubrey and Lolo, went golfing with mommy, daddy, Amy and Mark, and slep in late with daddy a few mornings.
We've really had a great summer with Caleb. We thank God everyday that he is healthy and ours.

Chrispy's Birthday

July 23rd was Chrispy's 32nd birthday, so of course we had to celebrate!

Caleb decided to throw his daddy a party. He invited all his friends: Aubrey, Lolo, Kenzie, Jackson, Bella, Susanna, Molly Beth and Jack. Their parents decided they would come to and make it a family affair.

Party Activities: Swimming in our 15 X 4 feet pool, watching dad get soaked by the sprikler, crocket for the kids and Bocce ball for the men in the front yard.

Food: Unlimited amount of hot dogs & chips, cookie cake and home made ice-cream.

Gifts: Some gift cards, cash, a scout patch shadow box, a cap gun, a great teacher book, some clothes, and I gave him a cot to go camping with. I'm sure there was more I just forget.

We had an awesome time hosting everyone and we wish it could be like that every weekend.

I can't wait to see what we'll do next year for Caleb's birthday.

The July Birthday Girls

I have a few minutes this morning. Chris is holding Caleb in the recliner. Caleb enjoys doing push ups on his daddy's chest. He's also talking to him. Caleb is fighting sleep.

Wow! This was a really fun week.

Tuesday -Lolo's birthday was July 9th (Argentina's independence day) she turned 5 yrs old. Amy, Chrispy, Caleb and I took her a birthday cake up to Camp Sonshine. It was a rainbow dress barbie cake. Grandmommy and daddy were there to help sing Happy Birthday. I remember the day she was born. I picked up Aubrey from camp Sonshine and took her home for a nap. When she woke up we went up to the hospital and 10 minutes after we got there Lolo was born. That was an awesome day.

Tuesday -Then Amy had a little party at the putt putt place and she had a cookie cake. The Nortons, Pruitt's, Sim's, Farrells, Mark, Mom and Dad and the Peurifoys were all there to celebrate Amy Lynn Pruitt's 38th birthday. We pretty much took over the local putt putt building for the night. It was fun. Amy got to be the cook Aunt last weekend. The girls had their first slumber party and Amy was there to help control the craziness. I can't wait until Caleb is old enough to participate. He's going to love his Aunt Amy.

Wednesday - Then Aubrey had her birthday and she turned 7! We took a cake to taste of Alpine it was a babie cake with a soccer girl sitting on a hill. I think she liked it. I wasn't there the day she was born in 2000, I was in Spain. But the first time I met Aubrey she was wearing a red a white striped onesie. Ricky went back to work, Cindy went shopping and I was left in charge. Well, I was on the phone with Charlie Farrell telling him all about Spain when I felt and heard something gross out of that little baby. That sweet baby had poop all up her back. And I had to change her. UUUUGGGGG!

SAturday - Bella celebrated her birthday on Saturday. We drove 1:15 in the rain to Timpson and the last 15 mins it cleared up and it was a beautiful sunny day the rest of the time. Cindy, Aubrey, Lolo and Amy went with us to the party. There was a baby pool, slip n slide and a big pool for big girls. Her cakes were beautiful a purse and a pink leopard print cake. Bella had on a pink leopard bathing suit. Mary and Wayne put on a great party. At the party the Alford grandparents were there, the Sample grandparents and the Peurifoy grandparents were also there. The cool aunts Stephanie and Ashley were there and got to swim with Bella. There are great.

Chrispy's birthday is coming up on the 23rd and Caleb is planning a little dinner party for his daddy. What do you give a man who has everything? He says back to school clothes. That's exciting.

July is definitley the biggest birthday month. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAMILY!

We had our first vacation together! Caleb, Chris and I spent the week at Crystal Beach, TX. Our baby dogs went to "vet camp" for the week. I told Caleb that Jill and Katy had a chance to go to the park and pee on the flowers and to the lake to swim and go canoeing. Caleb was happy about that and so were Chris and I.

Back to our vacation. We met grandmommy Debbie and granddaddy Larry at the beach house. It was awesome! It was a big house and others there were: Aunt Mary and Uncle Wayne and Bella, Aunt Stephanie, Kim, Patrick and Jenna and Matt. Mid-week grandparents Pruitt came down. So needless to say that baby boy was hardly ever put down. He had no complaints!

Tuesday was a sunny day when we got there.

Wednesday was really ugly weather so the whole group loaded up and drove to the ferry and went over to Galvaston Island to eat lunch. We ate at Willy G's and everyone enjoyed sea food, I got fetuchini alfredo and chicken(-: We took our time making it back home and when we got there we watched Nacho Libre, I love that show.

Thursday was a rainless day, not pretty but rainless. Chris and I took Caleb to the beach to put his feet in. He cried everytime the water touched his feet. He'll learn to love it after all he is half Becky, right? Larry bought a ton of crabs and shrimp and he and my dad cooked out together. The grandma's took turns holding the boy while we went to the beach and rode on the mule. I even got to take a bath in the huge bath tub with Caleb. It was fun!

Friday Larry, Dad, Chris and Matt left at 5 am to go deep sea fishing. When the left it was slightly rainning, but after they left it started to flood, literally. The thunder and lightning was incredible and it just absolutely flooded for about 4 hours. Water came in the downstairs apartment and was about 3 or 4 inches deep. We all watched movies and laid around until the sun came out around noon. All the aunts and uncles left for home around noon. I took the chance to be alone and went to the beach for a couple of hours to lay out and read. I am hooked on the Sons of Encouragement series by Francine Rivers. I'll be sad when I've finished them. That afternoon the boys came back from fishing with about 100 stories. Lots of fish, getting soaked and getting sea sick.

Saturday we relaxed in the morning and I did some more reading and laying out while the grandmommies took turns fussing over Caleb. We ate lunch at Stingaree came home and took a nap and left around 5 pm to come back to Longview.

We had a wonderful time! Caleb is such a good baby. Next year when he's one it will be fun to make sandcastles and play in the water.

WELL, here are a few pictures to give you an idea of what our week looked like.
