THE TRIP BACK FROM ALABAMA

WEDNESDAY, AFTER GRANNY'S FUNERAL, WE DROVE 6 HOURS TO PEARL, MISSISSIPPI. WE ATE ATE RUBY TUESDAY'S THEN CHECKED IN TO OUR HOTEL.
AUBREY & LOLO WERE SO HAPPY TO BE OUT OF THE CAR. THEY HELPED US ENTERTAIN MR. MILKEY FACE.
ONCE WE CHECKED INTO THE HOTEL, WE RUSHED DOWNSTAIRS TO THE POOL. IT WAS AWESOME!
CALEB ENJOYED THE POOL WITH GRANDADDY!
THE WATER WAS SO AWESOME IT WAS LIKE TAKING A BATH! CALEB WAS SO COOL IN THE POOL. I CAN'T WAIT FOR HIM TO TAKE SWIM LESSONS FORM GINA.

AS I'VE MENTIONED IN OTHER BLOGS I BELIEVE THAT AUBREY AND LOLO HAVE PART MERMAID IN THEM. THEY DID WONDERFUL SWIMMING. COOPER & CALEB ENJOYED THEIR FIRST SWIM TOGETHER. THIS POOL WAS A WARM SALT WATER POOL. IT FELT INCREDIBLE! RICKY & I HAD FUN SWIMMING WITH OUR BABIES. ON THE SIDE LINES, OUT OF THE POOL, MOM, CINDY AND AMY WERE WATCHING US, MAKING SURE WE DIDN'T LOSE ANYONE.
I THINK COOPER AND CALEB WILL BE GOOD FRIENDS. AND I HOPE THEY'LL FIND WAYS TO DRIVE AUBREY AND LOLO CRAZY!
LOOKS LIKE RICKY HAD A HANDFUL.
WHEN CALEB GOT TAKEN OUT. MOM AND AMY CHANGED AND FED HIM A BOTTLE. COOPER GOT HELD BY HIS MAMA.
THE LAST 6 HOURS IN THE CAR, CALEB WAS MISSERABLE. WE HAD GONE TO BASS PRO-SHOP BEFORE WE STARTED OFF. CALEB GOT TO WATCH ALL THE BIG FISH, THAT WERE ALMOST AS BIG AS HE WAS! HE HAD FUN, BUT... THEN WE LOCKED HIM DOWN. HE SLEPT ALMOST ALL DAY!
MY PARENT'S AND CALEB LET ME HURRY THEM UP. WE HAD TO GET BACK IN TOWN FOR MY BASKETBALL GAMES. WE WON THAT NIGHT, I'LL TALK ABOUT IT ON A DIFFERENT BLOG.
RICKY, LOLO & COOPER SWIMMING AROUND.

THIS LITTLE VIDEO IS OF AUBREY AND LOLO & CALEB WHEN WE COULD FIND A POOL IN TOWN TO SWIM IN OVER X-MAS BREAK.

POOLS ON TRIPS ARE ALWAYS FUN. ONE SUMMER MY FAMILY WENT ON A TRIP TO BARILOCHE, ARGENTINA WITH THE MITCHELL'S & THEIR GRANDPARENTS AND OUR GRANNY AND PAW PAW. WE DROVE SOUTH DOWN THE WEST SIDE OF ARGENTINA RIGHT DOWN THE EAST SIDE OF THE ANDES MOUNTAIN RANGE.
ON THAT TRIP WE ENCOUNTERED ICE COLD STREAMS, LAKES AND IN THIS ONE PLACE IN PARTICULAR AN AUSTRAILIAN WATER TANK. YOU KNOW ONE OF THOSE MEDAL CIRCLES FILLED WITH WATER ABOUT 6 FT TALL AND 20 FEET WIDE. HUGE!

WE DROVE UP TO WHAT WAS A HOTEL, BUT LOOKED LIKE A RESIDENTIAL HOME. WE HAD DRIVEN THE WHOLE DAY DOWN THE BUMPY, DUSTY, DESERTED RUTA CUARENTA. WE WERE HOT, GRITTY AND VERY DISGRUNTAL AFTER DRIVING THE WHOLE DAY. SOME CARS HAD AC OTHERS HAD WINDOWS TO ROLL DOWN, WHICH MEANT DUST COMING IN. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW WORN OUT OUR PARENTS WERE: 4 GRANDPARENTS TO TRANSLATE FOR AND KEEP HAPPY, 7 KIDS TO ENTERTAIN, FEED & KEEP FROM FIGHTING (BOYS VS GIRLS ALL THE TIME), NOT TO MENTION THEY WERE NEGOTIATING FOR US A PLACE TO STAY AND A MEALS AFTER DRIVING ALL DAY. SO HERE'S A QUICK SHOUT OUT TO THE PARENTS: RICHARD & VICKY, JACKIE & REECE.

WELL, LIKE I WAS TRYING TO SAY. WE HAD THAT AUSTRALIAN WATER TANK (THAT'S WHAT THEY CALLED IT IN ARGENTINA). WE JUMPED IN THAT THING AND WASHED THE LONG DAY OFF OF US. IT WAS MOUNTAIN WATER, SO IT WAS FREEZEING! THE SUN WAS SETTING OVER THE ANDES MOUNTAINS AND THERE WERE NO SOUNDS OF A BUSY CITY, JUST OUR TWO FAMILIES SWIMMING AND LAUGHING, PLAYING TOGETHER.

THANKS YOU TO WHOEVER DECIDED TO CREATE POOLS! IT'S ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF MY HIGHLIGHTS WHEN WE'RE ON TRIPS.
