HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY MOM & DAD!

MARCH 1ST, 2008. HAPPY 40TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!

LOOK AT MOM AND DAD! WE HAD A SURPRISE LUNCH AT THEIR HOUSE TO HELP THEM CELEBRATE THEIR BIG DAY.

BUT... DAD HAD PLANS OF HIS OWN.

AFTER LUNCH DAD TOLD MOM TO GO PACK A BAG BECAUSE THEY WERE GOING OUT OF TOWN FOR THE NIGHT. DAD TOOK MOM TO A BED AND BREAKFAST IN PITTSBURG THAT HAD A VINYARD. COOL, HUH?

MOM AND DAD TOOK PICTURES WITH THEIR NEW DIGITAL CAMARA. I GUESS WE'LL SEE THEIR PICTURES ON MOM'S BLOG SOON.

RICKY AND LOLO AT LUNCH.
CHRISPY AND HIS BOY IN THEIR TENNIS SHIRTS.
SUPERSTAR AUBREY, AUNT AMY AND CINDY AND COOPER.
BECKY AND THE BOY.

I AM SO EXCITED AND PROUD FOR MY PARENTS! 40 YEARS OF MARRIAGE!

LOOK AT THESE KIDS! I THINK THEY WERE 18 AND 21. PRETTY YOUNG HUH?

THIS IS THEIR WEDDING PARTY ON MARCH 1ST, 1968. JANE & BILL WERE THE MAID OF HONOR AND BEST MAN. UNCLE JITTER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE BEST MAN BUT AUNT GAIL HAD TWINS THAT NIGHT... TROY & JOY!
LOOK HOW SWEET THEY WERE TO EACH OTHER. PRETTY LITTLE CAKE TOO. GRANNY MADE MOM'S DRESS AND VEIL. COOL HUH?
HERE IS JANE, MOM & DAD, PAW PAW, MEMAW & GRANNY.
RICHARD AND HIS LITTLE BRIDE VICKY. OFF ON THEIR HONEYMOON TO THE SMOKEY MOUNTAINS WERE THEY DROVE FROM ONE DUMPY MOTEL TO THE NEXT. DAD SAID THAT THEIR SECOND NIGHT THEY STAY AT A DIVE CALLED SHANGROLA. I PICTURE LOTS OF RED AND GOLD CURTAINS. THEY ONLY HAD THE WEEKEND BECAUSE DAD HAD TO WORK ON FRIDAY, HIS WEDDING DAY AND AGAIN ON MONDAY. MOM SAID THEY DIDN'T WASTE A LOT OF MONEY ON FOOD, THEY ATE A LOT OF WEDDING CAKE!
THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A GOOD, GODLY EXAMPLE FOR US. LOVING EACHOTHER FOR 40 YEARS. I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Thanks, Becky! We love the blog article about our anniversary. You are so sweet to us. We enjoyed our visit to the Pecan House in Pittburg and our little visit to the winery/vineyard there.
It was fun. You have such a good dad! I have such a wonderful husband. God has really blessed me with him. See ya tomorrow! Mom
